Sporites

The colorful critters that dot the Realmwood Forest are called Sporites! They are not pets, nor are they animals, but are a hivemind of fungal spores. They were created by Wilderfae magic when the Sporeguard initially summoned the Sporite Towers that circle the Arcane Fount. They obey the commands of any Wilderfae, but ultimately respond to the Sporeguard’s will. Sporites are able to carry objects much heavier than themselves, so they are often employed by the Wilderfae to assist with building projects and helping with a multitude of tasks. In large numbers, they can attach themselves to larger predators and deter them away from Wilderfae colonies by activating a type of mind control. However, they would never use this ability on harmless beings as they are typically a gentle and caring species.

They do not eat, sleep, or die. If their form is destroyed, they will poof away and eventually reform again in the Sporite Tower. In order to keep their spirits lifted, Wilderfae partake in creative activities which the Sporites thoroughly enjoy. They appreciate any form of art whether it’s visuals or performance. They’ll love anything you make, as long as it was made by you!

This creature is not a playable mount/pet! But can be drawn freely by members in submissions.
